Costa Cruises - love or hate them?

Welcome to my blog!

Today Im going to be talking with regards to my views on Costa Cruises.

Having been in the Travel Industry now for over 9 years Ive heard all the tales people tell about Costa Cruises, to which I find completely untrue and unfair.

I returned back from Dubai in March 2014 having sailed on the Costa Fortuna for a 7 night cruise around the United Arab Emirates.
The ship is older compared to the other brand spanking new ones that are around but I found the ship to be amazing! I didnt see or witness any off the things that people post on trip advisor or other websites with regards to leaking toilets and showers, loud and aggressive people, staff not pulling their weight.
I found the whole experience of my time onboard to be great, very well organised and professionally led.

We had a great Balcony cabin onboard located on deck 9 - midship and so convenient for all amenities.

They do the usual Muster drill before leaving Port, yes it comes in 5 different languages which can be very annoying but safety is paramount.

I must say that there All Inclusive drinks package is a must! £19.00 per person per day is a bargain for any cruise ship especially compared to the like of Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean & Norwegian Cruise Lines.

With all Cruise Lines they do have a gratuity charge, Costa Cruises are mandatory and charged at 8 Euros per person per day, some people dont like to pay this charge but for the service you receive I dont see how anybody can complain, the bar, waiters and cabin attendants are the most helpful and professional staff on the Seas.

To end this blog today I say give them a try - I love them!!

To Cruise or not to Cruise?

Its always a struggle on where to decide where to book for your holidays. Should it be a 7 or 14 night holiday to Majorca, should it be Self Catering, Half Board or all Inclusive, decisions decisions?

My personal thoughts on this would be to go on a Cruise, imagine waking up in a different destination everyday, seeing new sights, meeting new people, being constantly on the move.
A cruise is more than a floating hotel it offers you the best of everything, from dining and entertainment to relaxing in one of the onboard Spa's.
Fine dining in one the speciality restaurants, which is a must atleast once whilst onboard.

Please follow my blog for interesting views on cruising.
